Posted an ad on SF Gate a couple of days ago. First, the Facebook “like” button wouldn’t show up, and if I copied and pasted the link to FB, it was just the link… no photo… no description . Totally boring and unforgettable! I wrote an email to someone under a help tab somewhere on SF Gate and never got a response, but the next day, the FB “like” button appeared. Coincidence?… maybe. So, I liked the ad and posted it to my FB wall as well as 5 others. It showed photos, a description… like it should, and when I clicked it, it went to the SF Gate ad, where you could see the full ad and the performers bios (6). Yay! Today, I went to FB and clicked on it, just to see how it’s doing and it now directs me to the Zvents for Facebook wall, where I can choose 1 of 3 tabs (like an invite) as to attending, not attending or maybe. I clicked… 3x… and got an error message. There is also a place to leave comments, but apparently you need some plug-in I’ve never heard of, so I can’t do that either. Lastly, it doesn’t show the artist bios and looks like a totally boring ad. I paid for the upgrade and I’m NOT HAPPY!!! If I wanted a Facebook invite, I would have created one! I wanted a direct link to the FULL AD ON SF GATE!!!!
Hi Theresa,
I’m sorry, that sounds really frustrating! Unfortunately, it sounds like Facebook is redirecting your link, which isn’t something we can control. I’d love to have a look at it, though, just to make sure we’ve done everything we can. Please email me at support@zvents.com, and I’ll get right on it!
